Current Available Jailbreak Toolevasi0n - iPhoneXperience

Currently (correct at the time of writing), the only jailbreak available is the evasi0n tool which is compatible with all iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini models running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.6. There is NO other jailbreak tool which can jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 even if they claim they can! Note to all users: None of the jailbreak tools released have ever charged any fees to use the tool and never will! Please be aware of any entity purporting to do the impossible and even charging money for it. These are fake! Meanwhile, if you have an iOS 7.0.1 – 7.0.6 device that is not jailbroken then check out the GadgtMag evasi0n guide to jailbreak your iOS device today. If your unsure and skeptical about jailbreaking then be sure to read the evasi0n jailbreak FAQ.

Avoid Fake Jailbreak Tools .. Like A Plague!

Another website which has become really annoying on the web is 71jailbreak site. We won’t even link to it because it already has enough popularity on the web and has risen to the top of the search rankings for iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak. It states it has the tool to unlock iOS 7.1.1 but it does not! This is merely an attempt to cash in on the gap in the market as everyone wants to jailbreak their iOS 7.1.1 devices. Do not visit their site! They will tell you to login to the site using your safari browser however upon clicking the button they will lead you to download apps, complete surveys etc and all that jargon only to realise there is no jailbreak! What makes it worse is they pretend that the jailbreak tool their offering is created by familiar faces – Pod2g and MuscleNerd being named on the bottom in an attempt to increase your confidence in what they’re offering. Do not let this shameful group and website make money that belongs to the real jailbreak community who work hard to do provide us with real jailbreaks – for free! If this news was true don’t you think it would be announced on Pod2g’s Twitter and MuscleNerd’s Twitter accounts?

iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak – Will We Even Get One?

Apple iOS 8 Logo icon release GM 2014 Concept Features GadgtMagThe simple and best answer is the one we do not want to hear! – No! Although this disheartens many (including us), the truth is that it is in everyone’s best interest that they hold on to their iOS 7.0.1 – 7.0.6 jailbroken devices. This is because Apple has patched many of the vulnerabilities that allowed the Cydia app to be installed on to the iOS device. This cat and mouse chase has been going on ever since the first jailbreak tool was released. What this means for the user is that instead of the jailbreak community exploiting any loopholes for a mere iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak – they can save these vulnerabilities for the much anticipated iOS 8 release! As mentioned, the cat and mouse chase will continue – why should the jailbreak community reveal the exploits early and allow Apple to patch them in iOS 8. So it basically boils down to – iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak or wait for an iOS 8 jailbreak. Im pretty certain everyone will agree will the latter. Meanwhile, evasi0n has tried to explain why the iOS 7.1.1 is not really worth the upgrade anyway.

The Unnecessary Hatred

Some ignorant people are finding it hard to swallow that there is no jailbreak tool for the iOS 7.1.1 and are constantly slurring hatred towards the jailbreak teams. Some of these people have accidentally upgraded to iOS 7.1.1 and are now kicking themselves, whilst others had to upgrade when they had to restore their device etc. Although this is most unfortunate and our sympathies go out to these people, we don’t think it is right that the jailbreak teams should be demoralised by insulting them publicly after all they have done for us.
